I hite Sigurd Chromsen, disgraced Shaman of the Tyger Clan.
It was on my watch that the sacred Club of Gwaeron was lost, I was studying not watching as is my want.
The clan judges. It judged me responsible. Inattention is akin to sloth, so despite my works, my skills, I am banshed.. But the nature lord still smiles on me.
There are no excuses…
There is no respite. I must make amends.
I find the holy weapon, I return home. It is that simple.
I have searched. Years now. Seeking. I find nothing, only ice and snow.

My bones betray me, the heat is leeched from my body, but Gwaeron preserves me.

Small things show the way. The snow on my backpack, the crystals on my beard, a flight of snow wing. I come to realise *I* will not find it… I am guided, I will find others, and together…

It is out there. I know it is out there, but hidden, I will find it. Gwaeron guides me, I listen for the portent, found in in the elements, found in land, found in nature, found in companions?

I crest the rise, a small hamlet may provide respite for tonight. Perhaps there is what I seek…

Velasco

Human Wizard

For most of his early adult life Velasco was apprentice to a feared and secretive wizard, Guntram the Black. Guntram has been gone for years now, leaving Velasco to continue his practise of the arcane arts alone.

Due to his master’s reputation, his swarthy looks, that damnable black crow he keeps as a pet (aspect of the devil some say) and his preference to be left alone, Velasco is regarded as a social pariah. The subject of many unfounded dark rumours; nobody dares to knock at his door and children hurry past his ramshackle residence for fear the grim wizard may turn them into a toad.

It’s true to say that Velasco is scruffy, socially awkward and uninterested in the affairs of the community. But is his untrustworthy reputation truly deserved?

For several years Velasco has kept himself to himself, content to study his books. But now his arcane studies have reached their limit, to continue his study of the arts he must travel abroad to acquire new lore. He must expose himself to the world beyond his door. He might even have to actually talk to people. The very thought fills Velasco with dread. He pulls his black cloak around his shoulders, picks up his gnarled wooden staff and calls to him his only friend – Corvus, the (devilish) black crow that habitually perches on his shoulder.

Velasco opens his door, draws a deep breath and steps outside.

Mel, can I switch class from Fighter to Artificer, plz? No change to backstory.
