planning for spider town

the cleaners have been
and they went that-a-way!
sorcerer spies spells...
...a wedding invite no less
two-headed driders, picked clean to the bone
more fun-guys! revellers, coming to the party
a dream? an old friend. Help us...
Zuggtmoy, Demon Queen of Fungi,
to “wed” Araumycos, an enormous fungu...

a change of plan...
we're the parade
troll children of demogorgon
pull drow-girl's pretty hair
and get trashed.
and rise!
and get trashed AND BURNED.
and stay down.
re join the merry throngs
distant whelps of doggy folks

Session 5.3 (aka, scott, paul, steve, hugh)

following the throng
attack of the monkey devils
invisible, fairy fired, chest pounding and dead
drow girl gets a minor slapping
strange oily, acidic, iridescence, skin
washing tainted weapons
another day, another dark sticky tunnel
drow girl attracts attention
black slimy puddings attack
druid creates a burning ring-o-fire!
fizz pop. more burning. squeezing. closing...
druid creates a burning wall-o-fire!
fizz pop. more burning. squeeling. cursing...
grolsh spies them plopping down from above
plop. splat.
drow girl uses LIGHTNIN!
...lightnin? on black puddings? yes...
the puddings double in number.
a fight that was won is back on.
BUT. Eventually. the fight is won.
back on the road.
approaching the festival...

Session 5.4 (aka, scott, steve, hugh)

over the fungoid fields
two plant guardians, despatched with ease
bursting spores, you may enter the dream....
the silver realm
the mountain sized skull and the fevered brain
"who dares?" the grim bride appears
brutal monk attack leaves her ALMOST stunned
others pound her before she acts
then, she is interrupted as she readies her response... Juiblex?
she fades from the scene, distracted by another wedding crasher
the ravaged brain of Araumycos is restored
in thanks he heals the party and they return to the waking world
...just in time to see the big smack-down concluding
Zuggtmoy, Demon Queen of Fungi vs Juiblex, the faceless lord
a crowd chants, engrossed
Z goes down, perhaps weakened by the parties ferocious pummeling
she rots away, screaming as she is returned to the abyss
Just Juiblex remains.
A huge bubbling black formless blob oozes grotesquely towards the party.
It wounds rapidly begin knitting together
Dawnbringer's radient light stops the regeneration
Massive damage piled in by the party
Juiblex vomits a giant blob of corrosion plop on grolsh
Barely he survives, then the drow delivers a killing blow
Juiblex seeps between the cranks. Gone.
the party are the heroes of the mycanoids

Do folk still want me to run a two week game? D&D (Chapel on the Cliffs) or Cthulhu (something from Doors to Darkness)?
