New thread for discussion of this game.

To recap, it is 1st-15th DnD5 starting with new characters generated before the first session.

char gen
Standard array with a slight bonus...
Either a +1 on top stat
Or
Two +1 on other stats
So...
16 14 13 12 10 8
Or...
15 15 14 12 10 8

Or if you trust to fickle Chronepsis, Hathor or Lady Tymora you can roll 4d6 x6 twice, choosing the best group. However this must be done at the club prior to session#1.

Any race or class.
Bear in mind the adventures begins with all characters as captives of the drow. So special "starting gear" will not be available or may require retrieval. Dark vision might be useful.
You're in the under dark.

Aka has already said he might be a drow. This is fine. The party doesn't need to be an adventuring group to begin. You are all simply thrown together by your captors. Other drow or less common races are suitable as well as the normal selection.

I'll be playing a Wood Elf Monk

With Aka playing a Drow: Won't this be restrictive to the scenario/party due to their sensitivity to sunlight?

Damn you Hughes! I was also going to play as a monk!

My concept was a monk with a level or two of sorcerer (or mage) as I progress. I was going to start at level 1 with nothing but a robe and a quarterstaff and finish at level 15 with nothing but a robe and a quarterstaff. No treasure, no magic items, and no equipment beyond maybe a bed roll.

The reason for a level or two of a magic user type was so that I can cast magic weapon and mage armour (or similar) to cope with having no magical augmentations to weapon and AC (due to my poverty vow).

Mel, do you have any issues with there being two monks in the party?

EDIT: Dear Santa, for Christmas I would like a Speak and Spell so I won't have to edit my posts.

Not at all. Probably a good starting choice given the nature of the set up.
