Jānaka was exiled from his village many years ago when it was discovered that he has dragon blood coursing through his veins. Jānaka found a new home – the open expanse of forests, plains and mountains. He lived alone for several years, struggling to reconcile himself with the truth of his dragon-kind heritage and contemplating his place in the cosmos. During these years his natural affinity for tapping into raw magic manifested itself - a sign from god (Bahumut) that his life is destined for greatness.

He sought guidance from Bahumut, through prayer and meditation, as to what he should do with his life. Where should he go to learn more of his mysterious dragon heritage? And in a dream he thought he received an answer: The truth cannot be fathomed in self-imposed isolation. He must make his mark upon the world. He must make contact with civilisation once more and set out on the blind path to adventure.
