TOPIC: R4 2025 (19/06/25 > 07/08/25):Looking For Game

Tbh it was stuff like this that stopped me coming regularly. I have enjoyed 5e, but was hoping to play some different stuff at the club with experienced players of other systems.

I found that most other games either had pre-determined spaces set aside for other players, either because they were continuation games or people want to play with their mates. The one game I did get into was cancelled almost immediately for reasons I don't quite understand apart from the fact that that we didn't 'get' the system despite it being new to us.

I get the reasons for all of the above, but it did mean that there were basically no new openings for new players in systems apart from 5e, which has grown stale for me personally.

There are great people at the club and I've had fun playing there, but there is definitely a barrier for new players getting into the club.

I'll run Call of Cthulhu. Spoke to JCLoomer, AKA and MrsAKA last night who are up for it.

PROBABLY "two header serpent", but I'll confirm after I have read up on it a bit and check out other stuff I may have.

Two Headed Serpent is a great campaign, should be a lot of fun if that's what you go with.

Cannot stress enough how useful the information collected there is for seeing what games are up/open.

Inept has also posted a Shadowrun game for R4.

There is currently only one game posted for R5 (and it is already over-subscribed), so to avoid this situation recurring I recommend folk start thinking about what they might want to run when that rolls around in 10 weeks time, and perhaps make a point of visiting the site more frequently to sign up to the games that get posted up.
