works ok for me on windows 7, chrome Version 48.0.2564.97 m (64-bit)

yesterday, once, it seemed to pop up some modal dialog/overlayed frame variant entry form i hadn't seen before. not sure what triggered that or if it is even related.
The administrator has disabled public write access.

Thanks Mel for the feedback.

The absolute worst kind of issue - I can't replicate it and it works for some and not for others! Others please let me know.

for the record, my screen looks like yours steve - non of the colour buttons etc.
