The author's writing style did start to grate towards the end, but not enough that I didn't enjoy reading it.
Some people at the club must own this/run this/played this. What are your thoughts? Anyone with any anecdotes worth sharing?

It did sound like the author had an axe to grind with Gary Gygax. I know he's considered the father of D&D, but what was he like as a man?

New edition of Traveller is now available! PDF now available. Print version incoming in April.
If you pre-order the book with Mongoose, email them and they'll send you the PDF for free.

But going by the usual standard of Mongoose's publications - is it really worth the £30 they're asking?

A good point, my hardback is a first edition and is missing various characters and punctuation. I'd like to think they've got it sorted now, but will probably wait for the independent reviews to come in.

I think Mongoose have shrunk to a one man and his dog outfit these days, not sure they even print their own books, so maybe they will improve, quality wise.
