Mansion of Madness
Keeper: Mel
Boston, 1923. The air is thick with smoke from factory stacks and the sharp tang of salt drifting in from the harbor. Brick tenements crowd the skyline, while cobblestone streets echo with the rattle of Model Ts and the murmurs of bootleggers slipping through the shadows. The city pulses with ambition—Harvard scholars rubbing shoulders with dockworkers, Irish enclaves bustling beside Brahmin mansions, and jazz spilling from speakeasies hidden behind respectable storefronts.
But beneath the clamor of the modern age, something ancient stirs. Whispers slip through the back alleys of the North End. Strange rights held in the woods. Fishermen out of Gloucester speak of unnatural lights offshore, and a recent string of disappearances has left the local police baffled and silent. Boston is a city of history—old, proud, and secretive—and some things buried beneath its streets were never meant to be unearthed.
