The Necromancer may have been cast out of Dol Guldur, but a lingering darkness remains over Mirkwood, a shadow that will grow ever longer as the years draw on – unless a fellowship of heroes step forward and hold back the gloom.

Hi, I'm planning on GMing a new game of The One Ring using The Darkening of Mirkwood campaign.

No prior knowledge of the system necessary.

There'll no be no session on the 16th of July.

EDIT: I've ditched the Tales from Wilderland bit, I'm aiming to run a short 1 session intro, then straight into the main campaign

Beorning*
Dwarf of the Lonely Mountain
Elf of Mirkwood*
Hobbit of the Shire
Man of the Lake
Woodman of Wilderland*
Woodman of Mountain Hall
Wild Hobbit of the Valley of Anduin
Dunedain
High Elf of Rivendell

*Everyone needs a connection for Mirkwood and a reason for caring about its fate. Those marked with a *, it's a given as they come from the region. The other cultures are playable but need a personal reason to care.

http://azrapse.es/tor/sheet.html is a great way of creating characters, which I'm going to recommend to all players. I'll set up a username and password for those who want to save them there.
