TOPIC: R5: the Round Robin

Hi all, Over the last few weeks myself & Bane have been discussing the idea of getting players to take on the task of GMing. On the back of recent conversations regarding the lack of Gm's, now seems like a great time to unleash the idea.
We've decided to run a "round Robin" whereby each player will take the reins & GM a session for one week only. As such everyone can have a quick intro to Gming without the need to commit to a whole rotation.
We will run a simple "ZOMBIE APOCALYPSE" scenario with the players needing to escape/survive. We will be using the Savage worlds system which is about as simple as you can get for rules. I have a PDF of this I can email to players so they have some familiarity when it comes time to run the session. I can also email a copy of the savage world adventure "Zombie Run" so new Gms can read thru & find some inspiration for their week in charge.

The game group will be myself & Bane along with 5 others. The normal rules about "first come first served" are suspended for this game only. Preference will be given to any player that has not GM'ed in the past & wishes to give it a go.
Please be aware that if you sign up for this game up are also agreeing to GM one session of the rotation.

SO come on & sign up for the Round Robin & feel the immense pleasure & occasional pain of being A Games Master.

I love zombies and I love Savage Worlds.

If this game does not completely fill up with with untested GMs eager to step up, please consider my interest in any remaining slots.

For whatever my opinion is worth, I think this is a nifty idea unlike anything I've seen at the club before. If you are considering signing up but are nervous about running a session; don't be. Savage Worlds is about the easiest system that a new GM can cut their teeth on.

I can vouch for that mike! I GMed at the club for the first time earlier this year and really enjoyed it. The players don't bite much but their dice rolls often nuke your carefully prepared adversaries!

I'm more than happy to step up again if there are players without a GM to make sure people get a game. Also, if you need my help in the round robin, give me a shout.

BTW I'm still looking for something in R4. Is there a game with free spots or are there players without a game? I don't mind running savage worlds again if needed.

Thanks Mike & Andy S. You two are on the list. Ideally we will be able to confirm whether your in the round Robin or not by the start of R4 so you have time to make plans for R5 if needed.
