HI all
I think Garuda has it nailed. the only other option is village halls. these tend to be cheap, with kitchens and toilets, and next to pubs!

Norton village hall would be about £100
www.hugofox.com/community/norton-village-hall-12901/contact/

it is actually right next door to the Hundred House pub that serves very decent ale, and, if you are minded, very good quality food (Michelin sort stuff! full meal £30-50 per head but well worth it!) the place is also within range of pizza and curry delivery.. has a kitchen and toilets... and plenty of space.

I could offer my place as an option, however, we would need to hire a marquee toilets etc. (cost likely to be £400-500 if we have up to 20 punters. if we are going to camp then summer/autumn is a necessity. I'm getting too old for winter camping despite use of German antifreeze products....
Red Wine should always be opened and allowed to breathe....

if it doesn't apply mouth to bottle resuscitation.

Tony (Inept) has taken the time to put something together for Gazathon. He was unable to post it due to the difficulties with the site last week, so I've copied here the information he sent via email to a number of individuals. Attached is the Flyer

Here is the text of Tony's email:

In typical fashion I had to wait until the website was down… but I now have some information…. I’ve prepared it in the form of a flyer so that it can be printed off and handed round as necessary.

In summary I have provisionally booked Norton Village Hall for 12/13th January 2019.

It has the following facilities:
• Bar (costs £8/hour for barman open until 1am), they are happy for us to bring our own…
• Kitchen (large modern kitchen suitable for breakfast prep, I was thinking about a large number of cobs, bacon, sausage/eggs.
• Large main room (holds 200 max) so we will have plenty of space, and enough room to run 3-4 tables if desired.

Event

12pm Start Saturday with a Beer…
4pm Catering delivered by Apley Farm estate (roughly £8/head) sandwiches, scotch eggs, pork pie etc.
10pm Pizza from Domino’s at cost… I do work for Domino’s and will try and squeeze a discount out of them
7am Dawn breakfast bacon sausage eggs etc. (roughly £4/head
12pm Sunday finish…

Snacks you bring yourselves…
Tea and coffee is available on tap.
Beer will be available from the bar, or I will organise a barrel of something local.

The cost of room hire and a barrel of beer, breakfast etc. will be covered by Enviroconsult Limited. I will attempt to get sponsorship for the cost of the pizza and anything else I can think of.

I would recommend that we all get sponsored, and maybe we can do something for each Table (£50 donation?)… try and find a company prepared to stump up a sponsorship for each table? Hopefully we can persuade Steve (that’s you Bane!) to do a humorous write up of the event along with some photo’s to get into the local papers. Set up a just giving page?

I was hoping that folks could manage to get some sponsor forms completed, but in any event perhaps we could ‘recommend’ a donation of £10 at the start (poker style buy in)
I would also like to suggest the following feel free to vary the amounts but it could be amusing and raise some extras…. We could also source prizes for the most deaths, the hoarder award etc. :

• “Nothing is certain but death and taxes”… £5 donation for each character death DM’s to leave the leniency at home!
• “You cant buy your way into heaven but you can buy your way out of hell”, £5 donation for an immediate divine intervention… character is now alive and in full fettle once again…
• “what do you mean there isn’t any magic in this game…” A single £ gives you a roll on a random magic item table… DM choice…
• “Curses… foiled again” remove that pesky curse for a small donation to the cause. Etc…

Anyway, that’s the plan. Was banking on maybe 12-20 folks, but the room will hold more if it gets popular! Target to raise £200?

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I have to confirm the booking by 1st November, so can we get something sorted asap now please, we need numbers confirmed, and I need to confirm catering by mid-December. Any other ideas welcome. Hopefully the websitre will be up soon and I can sort out a thread.

Great work Tony - nice one! Deffo will be there!

As per your msg.,I'll see which other companies might wish to be involved and tap into a few media contacts to see if they can offer some support, etc.
