Moc has messaged me tonight that he’s doing training for the next few Thursdays as he has a new job. He’s therefore chosen to give up his seat in the game.

Sorry to lose you mate but very much appreciate your situation

After a discussion last night regarding ROF 1 and Ammo dice I re-read the rules and errata. I have to hold my hands up and say my interpretation was incorrect. The full text regarding this is:

AMMO DICE: Firearms give you ammo dice to add to your skill roll. Six such tan colored D6s are included in this boxed set. You can add as many ammo dice to your attack as you like, from zero up to the rate of fire (RoF) rating of your weapon or the number of rounds left in the magazine minus one, whichever is lower. For example, if you have three rounds left, you can add up to two ammo dice.

If you have only one round left, you cannot add any ammo dice to our roll. In this case, or if you choose to use no ammo dice, only one (1) round of ammunition is used in the attack. This is typically only the case for sniper shots (page 63), but can also be useful if you are very low on ammo or your weapon is in a bad condition (low reliability rating).

My mix up was regarding if you only have 1 round left rather than ROF 1 giving no Ammo dice.

Sorry about that, but as Sant rightly said, if a weapon has ROF 1 you can add 1 Ammo dice assuming you have enough rounds left in the magazine.

I’m sure there’ll be other rules questions and debates in the future, a natural thing when using new rules

On that note I also had a quick look last night when I got home about batteries to see if/when I did need to start rationing the NVG or how to recharge it etc.

It's a bit ambiguous as looking at item descriptions there seems to be 3 battery types e.g. a flashlight has a "small battery" the NVG has a "battery" and a spotlight has a "large battery" but only "small battery" and "large battery" are listed on the equipment list. So I'm going to assume the NVG uses a small battery (large battery is something like a car battery).

Text below. I read it as a full battery will give 24 hours of use and it can be charged from a genny or a running vehicle for a shift. So essentially unless stated when driving we have it plugged in to charge up so should be good until we run out of gas then we efffectively have 4 shifts of charge (or 24 hours).

NIGHT VISION GOGGLES: An electronic visor that amplifies light, allowing
the user to see in near-total darkness (and total darkness by using the
attached infrared light). They allow night vision out to three hexes (30
meters), or up to five hexes when using the attached light, eliminating
all modifiers to RANGED COMBAT and RECON due to darkness. Requires a
battery. Rel: 1. Weight: ½. Price 250.

SMALL BATTERY: Powers one small electric device for a day’s use. Can be
recharged by plugging it into a running vehicle or a generator for one
shift. Weight: ¼. Price 100.

Awesome, thanks for looking that up rhodsey

Finding a working generator may be tricky, so makes it priority to keep your vehicle roadworthy!
